Initially, Bosch was not growing market share in theauto aftermarket area (for spark plugs). Whilst it was not the worst performing, it was not showing any improvement. Sales were slowly declining and showed no growth. Consumer buying habits were based around what was easily accessible,and not knowing that there was any difference between competitive products, rather than seeking a specific brand.Objective was to provide the merchants/mechanicswith an easy to use, accessible, gravity fed dispenserthat provided spark plugs instantly within either environment.By placing Bosch branding including 'The Platinum Edge' and an action racing image this helped drive product awareness and penetration which in turn has grown market share. This was also assisted with the Bosch branding of being a 'quality' product which ultimately related to improved sales. Physical positioning also assisted by being a wall mounted display and easily accessible.

Lift the profile of Alemite Lubrequip in the marketplace by providing a 'can't miss it' opportunity to create awareness and to serve as an effective sales tool that speaks for itself. 4. Encourage product awareness in a hands on way extending to brand switching resulting in increased sales. 5. Provide an opportunity to conduct an exciting Sale Promotion to generate maximum effort in selling-in product and increasing market share. 6. Offer two models of display, Premium and Standard for flexibility of acceptance, usage and positioning.
