Garnier and Metcash Continue their Support of POPAI Sustainability in 2009

POPAI Australia & New Zealand are pleased to announce that Garnier and Metcash have both chosen to continue their stong support of the POPAI Sustainability Initiative in 2009!

As Founding Sponsors of the Sustainability Initiative, Garnier and Metcash, join The Australian Federal Government's Department of Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts, Deloitte and SPOS in recognising and assisting this vital project in 2009.

In 2008 POPAI Australia & New Zealand established the POPAI Sustainability Committee comprising of major brands, retailers and producer suppliers. The initiative laid the foundation for all companies to benefit from sharing global ‘best practice’.

With the support and commitment of Deloitte Corporate Responsibility Practice the Association developed an “Environmental Policy’ and eight major goals which it is achieving with the hard work and dedication of the members of its four sub-committees comprising of governance, tools, research, marketing and communications.
